Reneum is a green energy platform that issues tokens to solar, wind, and small-scale hydro energy projects, making them more profitable and incentivizing new development and buildout. Each $RENW is backed by a Renewable Energy Credit (RECs), which represents a megawatt hour of green electricity generated. Companies and individuals can purchase the tokens and use them to offset their environmental footprints. When the $RENW tokens are burned, buyers receive a verified green NFT receipt called the Eisbaer, which serves as their proof-of-impact and gives them the right to participate in their climate change community. This community will eventually include DAO governance and voting rights for new projects.
