USD/CNY Weakens to 6.7909 on July 16, Down 1 Point; Major Currency Pairs See Mixed Moves

China's interbank foreign exchange market reported the following midpoint rates on July 16. The US dollar weakened against the yuan to 6.7909, down 1 point. The euro strengthened to 7.7690, up 199 points; the British pound rose to 9.1703, up 864 points; the Australian dollar climbed to 4.7446, up 140 points. The Japanese yen weakened to 4.1815 per 100 units, down 32 points. Other pairs included the Swiss franc at 8.4172, up 351 points, and the Singapore dollar at 5.2588, up 44 points.
