U.S. Existing Home Sales Decline 2.4% in June to 4.09M Units

According to the National Association of Realtors (NAR), U.S. existing home sales declined 2.4% month-over-month in June to an annualized 4.09 million units on a seasonally adjusted basis, falling short of the market expectation of 4.2 million units. Year-over-year, sales increased 2.8%. NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun noted that the median existing home price reached a record high at $440,600, up 1.8% from a year earlier, while inventory stood at 1.56 million units, representing a 4.6-month supply.
