According to Reuters, on July 6, Ukrainian forces struck Russia's largest oil refinery in Omsk with drones from approximately 2,700 km away. Reuters assessed the attack as one of Ukraine's longest-range strikes since the war began.
In response, Russia conducted a massive overnight assault on Kyiv using 68 ballistic and hypersonic missiles and 351 attack drones, according to Russian military claims. The strike killed at least 25 people and wounded dozens in Kyiv and surrounding areas, marking the second large-scale assault on the capital in four days.
