SK Hynix Leverage ETF Trading Volume Exceeds Underlying Stock as Market Volatility Expands on July 27

According to Financial News, single-stock leverage ETFs have intensified market volatility and fund concentration in South Korea's stock market. NH Investment & Securities, Daol Investment, and other brokerages reported on July 28 that volatility has expanded since these products' launch, with semiconductor stocks—particularly Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix—becoming the focal point. SK Hynix leverage ETF trading volume now exceeds that of the underlying stock itself. Regulatory changes scheduled for month-end, including increased minimum deposits to 30 million won on July 31, are expected to help ease the fund concentration on major chipmakers.
