AWS Senior Vice President Dave Brown Departs After 18 Years

According to CNBC, Amazon Web Services (AWS) senior vice president Dave Brown is leaving the company, with his departure effective at the end of July, AWS CEO Matt Garman announced Wednesday. Brown will be replaced by Dave Treadwell, a top executive in Amazon's e-commerce division. Garman said Brown "has been a big part of what we have built at AWS." Brown joined AWS in its early stages and was instrumental in developing the EC2 service. His responsibilities recently expanded to include AWS' compute and machine learning services such as Bedrock and SageMaker.
