BlockBeats 消息，2 月 27 日，据《華爾街日報》報導，OpenAI 創始人 Sam Altman 的 Tools for Humanity (TFH) 與 Gap、Visa、Tinder 合作，推廣 World ID 人類驗證產品（區分人類與機器人的身份驗證技術）。
在舊金山的一家 Gap 門店，已經開始幫助訪客獲取 World ID。做法是安裝其標誌性的、排球大小的「Orb」設備，用來採集人臉和眼部圖像。與此同時，一張計劃推出的 Visa 支付卡將允許 World ID 持有者消費數字資產，包括 Worldcoin——在大多數市場中，人們註冊時會獲得這種加密貨幣作為獎勵。此外，約會應用 Tinder 正在日本測試該身份系統，以驗證用戶是真實的人，並且年齡與其聲明一致。
該公司表示，其 Orb 設備會將個人的臉部和虹膜圖像轉換為一串匿名數字，並存儲在用戶自己的設備上，Tools for Humanity 本身不會保留這些數據。TFH 首席商務官 Trevor Traina 稱，公司希望通過向應用程序收費來獲得收入——每當某個應用使用用戶的 World ID 來確認其為真人時，公司就會收取一筆費用。
