PANews February 26 News, Wang Bin, Head of the Criminal Third Division of the Supreme People’s Court, stated at the press conference on “The People’s Court’s Lawful Punishment of Telecom and Online Fraud and Property Crimes” held by the Supreme Court on February 26 that moving forward, the focus of the courts will be on targeting criminal group leaders, core members, the “moneybags” behind telecom fraud, organizers of cross-border smuggling “snakeheads,” organizations providing armed protection for cross-border telecom fraud crimes, as well as violent crimes such as intentional homicide, intentional injury, kidnapping during telecom fraud cases, and related crimes involving virtual currencies and underground banks for “money laundering.”
