Warren Buffett Endorses Kevin Warsh as Federal Reserve Chair on July 15

According to CNBC on Wednesday (July 15), Warren Buffett endorsed President Trump's selection of Kevin Warsh as Federal Reserve chair, calling it "a very good choice." Buffett expressed confidence that Warsh will make maximum efforts to achieve the Fed's dual mandate of price stability and full employment.

Warsh, who took office in May following his nomination and Senate confirmation, held his first monetary policy meeting in June and maintained interest rates unchanged. On Tuesday, he pledged the Federal Reserve would pursue a "regime change" in policy and reaffirmed the commitment to combat inflation. Buffett acknowledged that no one can execute such a difficult job perfectly, noting that managing monetary policy involves challenging decisions without guaranteed optimal outcomes.
