U.S. Recent Strikes on Iran Lay Groundwork for Future Military Operations

According to three U.S. officials and military statements on July 16, recent American strikes on Iran are designed to force open the Strait of Hormuz and degrade Iranian military capabilities ahead of more complex future operations.
