Uber Agrees to Acquire DeliveryHero for $13.7B on July 16, Gains Baemin and 50-Market Platform Portfolio

According to E-Daily, Uber agreed on July 16 to acquire German delivery platform DeliveryHero at €41.50 per share, with an additional investment of $13.7 billion. DeliveryHero's enterprise value was valued at $14.8 billion, enabling Uber to gain control of Baemin, the top food delivery app in South Korea, alongside Talabat (Middle East), PedidosYa (Latin America), HungerStation (Saudi Arabia), and Foodpanda (Asia) across 50 global markets. The acquisition marks Uber's return to the South Korean market seven years after exiting UberEats in 2019.
