Uber Agrees to Acquire Delivery Hero for $14.8 Billion on Thursday, $41.50 Per Share

According to Bloomberg, Uber Technologies agreed on Thursday to acquire German food delivery company Delivery Hero SE for $14.8 billion, offering 41.50 euros ($47.60) per share. The deal covers most of Delivery Hero's global operations across 50 markets. As part of the transaction, Uber will acquire Delivery Hero's major shareholder Prosus NV, which is listed in Amsterdam.

Investment firm SSW Partners will separately acquire operations in 14 markets for approximately $1.6 billion, including businesses in Austria, Norway, Spain, and Sweden.
