Trump Pushes Clarity Act in Honor of Graham; Polymarket Odds Fall to 40% from 82%

According to a Truth Social post on Monday morning, US President Donald Trump called on the Senate to pass the Clarity Act in honor of Senator Lindsey Graham, who died unexpectedly on Saturday. Trump cited the need to prevent China from gaining control of the crypto and AI sectors. The landmark legislation would place digital assets largely under the regulatory purview of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). As banking industry opposition to the bill solidified, Polymarket bettors' confidence dwindled sharply, with passage odds falling from 82% in February to 40% at time of writing.
