Three Iran-Linked Tankers Reverse Course in Arabian Sea Amid U.S. Naval Blockade on Thursday

According to ship-tracking data, on Thursday, three U.S.-sanctioned Iranian fuel tankers reversed course, altered routes, or performed zigzag maneuvers in the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Oman. A fourth supertanker also turned back while transiting the waterway. Concurrently, a non-Iranian flagged tanker appeared to attempt passage through the strait. Since implementing the latest blockade, U.S. military forces have forced three merchant vessels to divert, boarded one vessel for inspection, and disabled an oil tanker that failed to comply with orders.
