Shein Reveals FTC Investigation of U.S. Business in Hong Kong IPO Filing

According to CNBC, Shein disclosed in its Hong Kong IPO filing that its U.S. business is under investigation by the Federal Trade Commission. The company did not specify the scope of the probe in the disclosure. Shein said it is actively cooperating with the FTC and that the investigation outcome, whether a settlement or otherwise, could require significant monetary payments with a material adverse effect on its financial condition and operations. The company added it cannot predict the probable outcome or timing of the investigation.
