Satoshi Leads Bitcoin Holdings With 1.096 Million BTC, Coinbase Ranks Second

According to Arkham's latest 2026 ranking, Satoshi Nakamoto remains the largest known Bitcoin holder with an estimated 1.096 million BTC, representing 5.5% of Bitcoin's fixed 21 million supply. Coinbase ranks second among labeled entities with roughly 981,000 BTC, or approximately 5% of total supply.

Other major holders in Arkham's entity ranking include Strategy with 844,000 BTC, BlackRock with 732,000 BTC, Binance with 675,000 BTC, Fidelity Custody with 426,000 BTC, and the U.S. government with approximately 324,000 to 325,000 BTC from law-enforcement seizures. The ranking illustrates Bitcoin's shift toward institutional custody and regulated investment structures rather than individual ownership.
