Gate News message, April 16 — Russia’s defense ministry released a list of locations it claims are production facilities supplying Ukrainian forces with military equipment, including three addresses in the United Kingdom. The named UK sites are located in London, Leicester, and Mildenhall, Suffolk, which hosts an RAF base and serves as a crucial U.S. Air Force center.
Senior Kremlin official Dmitry Medvedev, who serves as Putin’s deputy on the Russian Security Council, warned that the list should be “taken literally.” He stated: “The list of European facilities which make drones and other equipment is a list of potential targets for the Russian armed forces.” Medvedev added, “When strikes become a reality depends on what comes next… Sleep well, European partners!” The Russian defense ministry characterized the European countries’ decision to increase drone production for Ukraine as “a deliberate step leading to a sharp escalation” and warned it could result in “unpredictable consequences.”
The ministry also identified alleged manufacturing sites across Germany, Denmark, The Netherlands, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Spain, Italy, Israel, and Turkey. Russia claims these facilities are part of a coordinated effort to supply the Ukrainian military with equipment used to strike Russian territory.
