Trump Warns Iran of 'Much Higher Intensity' Bombing if No Peace Deal Agreed on May 6

According to Trump's Truth Social post on May 6, President Donald Trump warned he would resume bombing Iran at 'a much higher level and intensity' if no peace deal is agreed. Trump stated he was temporarily halting US efforts to guide stranded vessels through the Strait of Hormuz to allow time for negotiations, but confirmed the American blockade of Iranian ports would remain in place.

The Strait of Hormuz blockade has persisted amid a shaky ceasefire. Iran's closure of the vital waterway has disrupted global oil and gas supplies, with Brent crude trading around $100 per barrel, well above pre-war levels of roughly $70.
