OpenAI Discontinues ChatGPT Atlas Browser, Integrating Features Into New Desktop App by August 9

According to 9to5Mac, OpenAI announced on July 10 that it will discontinue its standalone browser ChatGPT Atlas by August 9, with all features integrated into a new ChatGPT desktop application. The company will provide migration guidance through in-app notifications and email. The new desktop app includes ChatGPT Work agent, ChatGPT Codex, and full browser capabilities, while OpenAI will also offer a Chrome browser extension for users to access ChatGPT within their existing browsers.
