According to Beating, OpenAI and Work Louder unveiled Codex Micro, a compact mechanical keyboard designed to control Codex programming agents. The device is priced at $230 with limited-edition presales, with shipments expected on July 24.

The keyboard features 13 mechanical keys, a joystick, a rotary knob, and touch sensors. LED indicators display the agent's status—thinking, running, waiting, or complete. The joystick enables code review, debugging, and refactoring, while the rotary knob adjusts reasoning intensity.
