NVIDIA CEO Huang Ren-yuan returned to Tokyo's Akihabara on Wednesday, July 15, to reunite with SEGA's former president Shoichiro Irimajiri after 30 years. The two co-founded a partnership in the 1990s when SEGA invested approximately $5 million in NVIDIA during a critical period. During the visit, both parties announced deepened cooperation, with SEGA's upcoming titles set to support NVIDIA's latest RTX Spark platform.
Huang is also expected to attend a physics AI event hosted by Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry on July 16. Market observers anticipate NVIDIA may announce a strategic alliance with Noetra, Japan's state-backed AI initiative led by SoftBank and involving 44 companies including Honda and NEC, to advance AI and robotics technology across industries.
