KB Financial Establishes 100 Billion Won Digital Asset Fund to Accelerate AI Strategy

According to KB Financial Group, on July 15, the company established the KB AX Digital Asset Fund with a 100 billion won (approximately $77 million) scale. The fund aims to advance digital asset business and accelerate artificial intelligence transformation across the group. Major KB subsidiaries including KB Kook Min Bank, KB Securities, KB Insurance, KB Kookmin Card, and KB Life serve as limited partners, while KB Investments acts as the general partner. The fund will focus on early-stage South Korean digital asset firms and emerging technology companies in AI models, applications, and data analysis, with emphasis on connecting investments to actual business opportunities.
