Kalshi Launches Pro Trading Platform for Institutional Traders

Kalshi launched Kalshi Pro, a professional-grade trading workstation that positions the CFTC-regulated prediction market operator to compete directly with established exchanges and professional trading platforms. The new desktop platform introduces advanced order management, multi-market trading, professional charting, and perpetual futures trading. The launch reflects the rapid institutionalization of prediction markets, which are increasingly adopting infrastructure and tools traditionally associated with equities, futures, and foreign exchange trading.

Kalshi Pro Introduces Professional Trading Infrastructure

Kalshi Pro represents a substantial departure from simplified interfaces typically associated with retail prediction market platforms. The platform allows traders to monitor multiple markets simultaneously, manage large numbers of resting orders, analyze live order books, and execute trades using professional-grade workflow tools.

The new features include a customizable multi-window trading workspace, real-time market screener covering approximately 2,000 prediction markets, advanced order management tools, integrated TradingView charting, and a dedicated interface for perpetual futures. Professional traders can manage leverage, switch between isolated and cross-margin modes, place stop-loss and take-profit orders directly from charts, and monitor margin risk in real time.

Andy Chang, Product Lead for Kalshi Pro, said many of the platform's most active users already trade prediction markets in the same way institutional investors trade traditional financial assets. "Our most active traders are already trading prediction markets and perpetuals like Wall Street trades equities and bonds. We built Pro to give them the cockpit they deserve," Chang stated.

Kalshi Operates Under CFTC Regulatory Framework

Kalshi holds a Designated Contract Market licence from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and operates alongside affiliated clearing and futures commission merchant infrastructure. The company became the first federally regulated prediction market exchange in the United States. Kalshi is positioning itself less as a betting platform and more as a full-service financial exchange capable of serving active traders, proprietary trading firms, and institutional participants.

The exchange now supports thousands of contracts covering economics, politics, sports, weather, cryptocurrencies, and financial markets, alongside perpetual futures products introduced more recently. The platform is available as a free beta release.

Exchanges Compete on Technology and Trading Tools

Kalshi's product launch comes as exchanges and brokers increasingly compete on technology rather than simply market access. Artificial intelligence, algorithmic trading, API connectivity, and professional trading interfaces have become central competitive differentiators across financial markets.

Earlier this month, Webull expanded OpenAPI access for retail investors in Malaysia, allowing AI agents to connect directly with brokerage infrastructure. NinjaTrader recently created its first Chief Innovation & AI Officer role to accelerate AI-powered trading tools, while several retail brokers continue expanding prediction markets alongside traditional investment products.

Kalshi Expands Beyond Political Forecasting Markets

The launch reinforces Kalshi's broader strategy of expanding beyond political forecasting into a wider range of financial and event-based markets. As liquidity has grown, professional traders have become an increasingly important source of market activity. Kalshi appears increasingly focused on positioning prediction markets alongside futures, options, and other exchange-traded derivatives.
