Japan Increases Bond and FX Market Intervention Amid Yen Weakness

According to iM Securities, the Japanese government has recently increased intervention in bond and foreign exchange markets to combat rising government bond yields and historic yen weakness. The policy focus has shifted toward stabilizing the domestic government bond market. If the yen strengthens, it could amplify won appreciation in South Korea's foreign exchange market, analysts said.
