Iran Rejects Temporary Ceasefire, Demands Complete End to Regional Conflicts

GateNews

Gate News message, April 17 — Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Seyyed Hatibolzadeh stated that Iran rejects any form of temporary ceasefire and demands a complete end to conflicts across the entire region. Speaking at the Fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Hatibolzadeh told reporters that any ceasefire must encompass all conflict zones “from Lebanon to the Red Sea,” which he described as a “red line” for Iran.

He emphasized: “We do not accept any temporary ceasefire,” and stressed that the cycle of conflict must be “completely terminated.” The statements underscore Iran’s position that any resolution must address the full scope of regional tensions rather than isolated conflicts.
