According to CoinDesk, Hyundai Card launched an internal cross-border remittance system on Avalanche on July 10, becoming the first major South Korean enterprise to publicly adopt stablecoins for cross-border treasury settlements. In the pilot phase, Hyundai's U.S. subsidiary transferred $20,000 to its Mexico subsidiary via USDT conversion in approximately 7 minutes, significantly reducing processing time compared to traditional banking transfers of 3 to 4 hours. The company plans to expand to additional cross-border corridors and currencies, with a second-phase pilot in Europe alongside Circle and Visa to test local currency settlement and foreign exchange costs.
