These fraudulent sites deceive users by requesting personal information such as identity card numbers, photos, and phone numbers under the guise of buyer protection verification, offering cash rewards as incentives. The sites then facilitate unauthorized transactions through virtual wallets. HKCC urges the public to remain vigilant against suspicious calls, websites, and communications, and to report suspected fraud to police immediately.
