Federal Reserve Appoints Members to Five Working Groups, Including Mankiw and Andreessen

Federal Reserve Chairman Powell appointed members to five newly established working groups today, according to an official Fed announcement. The groups will operate independently with staff support to strengthen the Fed's execution of its policy objectives.

The inflation task force includes Greg Mankiw and Thomas Sargent; the employment group will feature Marc Andreessen and Charles Jones; the data group includes Raj Chetty and Kevin Murphy; the balance sheet group will be led by Raghuram Rajan; and the communications group comprises Mervyn King and Peter Fisher.
