ENS DAO Initiates Proposal to Establish New Security Council Through July 16, 2028

According to ChainCatcher, ENS DAO has initiated a proposal to establish a new Security Council with a two-year term ending July 16, 2028, based on the election results of EP 6.50. The new council will inherit existing responsibilities to cancel malicious proposals within ENS DAO but will not have the authority to initiate, modify, or actively promote governance proposals. Configuration will be completed by granting corresponding permissions to the DAO's TimelockController. After the two-year term, any address can call the relevant function to revoke the council's proposal-cancellation rights if the DAO does not pass a new extension proposal.
