According to The Block, Blockaid's report shows the crypto industry suffered over $1 billion in losses from hacking attacks during the first half of 2026, with verified exploit events reaching an all-time high. North Korean hackers were identified as the largest threat actor, responsible for approximately $577 million in theft across Drift ($285 million) and KelpDAO ($292 million). Ethereum and Solana projects sustained the most losses by chain, with $332 million and $326 million respectively.
