According to The Block, Coinbase executive and Base blockchain founder Jesse Pollak announced today that he will step down from leading the Base app team, with Cobie (Jordan Fish) taking over the role. Pollak acknowledged that Base's previous bets on social and creator features largely failed, citing the sale of Farcaster, Zora's shift to Solana, and losses among creator token investors. He will now focus on Base infrastructure, aiming to position Base as the blockchain for global finance.
