Coinbase Chief Legal Officer Paul Grewal to Step Down by Month-End, Transitions to Advisory Role

According to PANews, Paul Grewal, Coinbase's chief legal officer, will step down by the end of July 2026 after six years in the role, transitioning to an advisory role while remaining a board member of Coinbase National Trust Company. Molly Abraham, current deputy general counsel, will be promoted to general counsel, with executive Ryan VanGrack becoming deputy chairman. Grewal's tenure included leading the company through its public listing, winning an SEC lawsuit, relocating the company's incorporation from Delaware to Texas, and advancing crypto-focused legislation including the GENIUS Act.
