China Opposes U.S. Military Threats Against Cuba, Reaffirms Support on July 16

China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on July 16 that the United States should immediately cease military threats and any form of blockade against Cuba, according to Jin10 Data. Lin made the remarks in response to reports that U.S. Department of Defense officials had been studying possible military action against Cuba. China will continue to firmly support Cuba in safeguarding its national sovereignty and opposing foreign interference.
