According to BlockBeats, Base Build launched Base Verify Onchain today (July 28), a feature designed to combat Sybil attacks in blockchain airdrops by generating stable identity hashes for real users. The functionality is now live on Base Sepolia testnet and enables developers to enforce "one real user, one claim" rules in smart contracts, addressing the issue of batch wallet manipulation and airdrop farming.

Base Verify Onchain allows users to authenticate through existing Coinbase, Instagram, X, or TikTok accounts without sharing personal data. The system returns verified identity credentials to smart contracts, which then automatically enforce claim limits, voting restrictions, or amount caps. The feature has already been used over 300,000 times and is integrated with Base App, Cody, Scratch, and Bracket.
