According to The Information, on Wednesday ASML announced plans to increase prices on its critical lithography systems following strong second-quarter results. The Dutch semiconductor equipment giant has discussed higher prices for advanced EUV systems directly with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) and informed other customers, including Chinese chipmakers, of plans to charge 10% more for DUV systems. ASML raised its 2026 sales forecast to €43-€45 billion from prior guidance of €36-€40 billion, driven by surging AI and memory chip demand. CFO Roger Dassen noted there is room for price improvements, citing a "pretty strong runway for potential price improvements" for Low-NA EUV lithography systems.
