According to Peng Pai News, the Jinan Intermediate People's Court of Shandong Province recently released typical cases that clarify the division of liability after losses resulting from entrusting others with virtual currency investments. The case details show that the plaintiff Liu entrusted Zhang with investing in "Alpha Coin," but subsequently the platform was suspected of criminal activity, making it impossible to recover the funds. Liu then sued to demand the return of investment funds. After trial, the Zhangqiu District Court found that according to the Notice on Further Preventing and Disposing of Virtual Currency Trading and Speculation Risks issued by the central bank and other departments, virtual currency investment and trading constitute illegal financial activities, and their civil legal acts are invalid.
