Gate News message, April 15 — According to Iran’s Fars News Agency, a large number of U.S.-manufactured communications devices in Iran suddenly malfunctioned and their operating systems crashed during a strike on Isfahan province in central Iran on April 14. The affected equipment included brands such as Cisco, Fortinet, and Juniper.

The report stated that the incident demonstrates that a country’s cybersecurity foundation cannot rely on foreign equipment, and that true security begins with owning and producing domestic technology. Developing homegrown equipment is no longer a slogan but a necessary condition for survival in cyber warfare.
