Google Chrome Adds Skills Feature to Save and Reuse Gemini Prompts

Gate News message, April 15 — Google Chrome is rolling out a new feature called Skills that allows signed-in desktop users to save and reuse Gemini prompts across web pages. The feature is initially limited to browsers set to English (US).

Users can save a prompt from Gemini chat history and reuse it with a slash command or the plus button. Skills can run on the current page and selected tabs, be edited later, and require confirmation for actions such as sending emails or adding calendar events.

The update comes as competing browser makers enter the market. Google is also launching a library of preset Skills for tasks including productivity, shopping, recipes, and budgeting.
