Former French President Sarkozy has been sentenced to 3 years in prison for corruption.

On December 18, Jinshi data reported that on December 18th local time, the Supreme Court of France made a final ruling on the corruption case of former President Nicolas Sarkozy, sentencing Sarkozy to three years in prison. During this period, he will not be serving his sentence in prison, but will be wearing an electronic bracelet. Sarkozy served as the President of France from 2007 to 2012. In recent years, he has been involved in multiple lawsuits. On February 14th of this year, Sarkozy, the former President of France, was found guilty of illegally using campaign funds during the 2012 election and was sentenced to one year in prison. Among them, six months is on probation, and the other six months are served outside of prison. In addition, Sarkozy is also accused of illegally accepting funds from the Libyan Gaddafi government during the 2007 presidential campaign.
