Gate News bot news, European football club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) announced that it will incorporate Bitcoin into its balance sheet, marking the club as the first sports entity to disclose a Bitcoin financial strategy.

The international club, which has over 550 million fans worldwide, announced the news at the Bitcoin 2025 conference held in Las Vegas. Pär Helgosson, head of PSG Labs, stated that the club is focused on “future development direction,” “just like Bitcoin.”

Helgosson called this initiative a “new generation trend” and stated that PSG began purchasing Bitcoin last year. The club’s spokesperson also emphasized that 80% of PSG’s fans are under the age of 34.
