Recently, I've been thinking about the difference between grid/DCA and a single trade, and honestly, the main difference is whether you can sleep at night.

Grid and DCA are like slowly breaking down emotions and handling them gradually; whether you make money or not is another matter, but at least you're not staring at the candlestick chart until 2 a.m.;
A single trade is very satisfying, but after the thrill, you’re likely to face the aftermath of a retracement, especially with perpetual contracts where funding rates change and open interest piles up, making liquidation zones as magnetic as a magnet attracting people.
These days, AI agents and automated trading are heating up again, and many people in the group say, "Let the robot place orders for me," which makes me a bit uneasy:
Strategies can be automated, but are signatures and authorizations also automatic?
With more interactions, one mistake isn't just a sleep disturbance; it could be a wake-up call you can't ignore…
Anyway, I still prefer grid/DCA, sticking to strict rules, keeping my hands from getting itchy.
