Trump: Anthropic is "developing well" and willing to consider resuming cooperation
U.S. President Trump said Tuesday in an interview with CNBC that his administration believes Anthropic is “developing well,” and he is willing to consider reaching an agreement so that the company can resume contract collaborations with defense officials. Trump instructed federal agencies in February to exclude Anthropic from procurement contracts. Anthropic’s CEO met with White House officials last week in an attempt to repair the relationship. The White House described the meeting as productive and constructive. Trump stated on Tuesday, “A few days ago, they came to the White House, and we had a very in-depth exchange. I think they are gradually maturing. They are very smart, and I believe they can play an important role. I like smart people.” (Sina Finance)
