I just took a quick look on the chain and saw someone getting liquidated and cursing.


Honestly, sometimes it's not that your position is too outrageous, but that the oracle's price feed is slow by half a beat...
When the market jitters, the on-chain calculation still uses the "old world" price to determine health, even though you see the market has already recovered outside, your position has already been rubbed on the ground by the system.
The most annoying part is that you can't even argue with anyone, because the contract is hardcoded to use the feed price.
Plus, now miners/validators are making pretty good money from MEV, and if the order gets mixed up—updating the price, triggering liquidation, adding margin—who goes first or last depends entirely on whether you're the "favored" one, so it's no wonder retail traders are complaining.
Anyway, I now prefer to leverage less, keep some buffer, and not set the liquidation line too close, to avoid being wiped out by delays and ordering issues together.
