Iran's Revolutionary Guard confirms a senior officer in its Navy intelligence department has been killed

According to reports from Tasnim News Agency and several other Iranian media outlets, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps confirmed that its deputy commander of naval intelligence, Behnam Rezaei, has been killed.
The report said that Rezaei had fought alongside Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy Commander Ali Reza Tangsiri during his lifetime.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps issued a condolence telegram on the same day, mourning Rezaei, stating that he played an important role in combating enemy fleets.
The Israel Defense Forces issued a statement on March 26 saying that the previous night, the IDF carried out an airstrike on the port of Abbas in southern Iran, resulting in the deaths of several high-ranking Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy personnel, including Ali Reza Tangsiri and Behnam Rezaei, the head of naval intelligence.
