According to Gate data, WTI crude futures rose 0.05% to $78.178 per barrel on July 14, while Brent crude advanced 0.56% to $83.770 per barrel.

Spot gold climbed to $4,098.99 per ounce, and spot silver jumped 3.47% to $59.67 per ounce. The moves come as markets digest reports of Trump's statement regarding the Strait of Hormuz remaining open to all vessels except Iran's.
