According to BeInCrypto's new 2026 tokenization report, US Treasuries have reached production-grade maturity within a rapidly growing tokenized real-world asset market. The report tracked approximately $60 billion in tokenized assets across more than 7,000 products spanning 12 asset classes. Tokenized US Treasury debt comprises about $15 billion, with 99% distributed across public blockchain rails, marking it as the only asset class achieving institutional-grade readiness.
However, market access remains severely restricted. The report found that 97% of tokenized asset value lies outside US retail investor reach, with only $1.7 billion accessible through 1940 Act structures. A significant portion is locked behind private institutional channels, offshore frameworks, and accredited-investor rules, while 39% lacks identifiable regulatory frameworks.
