US Military Uses 3 Explosive Drone Boats to Attack Iran's Naval Base for First Time on July 12

According to US Central Command, the US military on July 12 deployed three explosive-laden "one-way attack surface drones" in combat for the first time, targeting an Iranian Ghadir-class midget submarine and a ship maintenance facility at Bandar Abbas Naval Base. The autonomous Saronic Corsair vessels, each 24 feet long and capable of carrying up to 1,000 pounds, made low-speed approaches to their targets before detonating, according to USNI News.
