On July 13, 2026, the U.S. initiated an anti-circumvention investigation into crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells originating from China, following applications submitted by eight domestic U.S. companies: FirstSolar, Hanwha Q CELLS USA, Talon PV, Swift Solar, Great Lakes Solex PR, DYCM Power, Suniva, and Silfab Solar. The investigation will examine whether producers are circumventing existing U.S. anti-dumping and anti-subsidy tariff orders on such cells, whether or not assembled into modules.
