U.S. Durable Goods Miss Forecasts as Gold Holds $4,087 on Weak Manufacturing Data

According to the Commerce Department, U.S. durable goods orders rose 0.3% in June, missing the consensus forecast of 1.6% growth. Core durable goods increased 0.6%, also falling short of the expected 0.9% rise. Spot gold was little changed by the data, last trading at $4,087.17, up 0.80% on the day.
