According to U.S. Central Command, the military conducted a large-scale strike operation against Iran on July 17 at 9:40 p.m. EDT, marking the sixth consecutive night of such operations. U.S. forces deployed fighter jets, drones, and warships to launch precision-guided weapons against dozens of Iranian military targets, including coastal surveillance systems, air defense positions, military logistics infrastructure, and maritime combat facilities. The command stated it is committed to further degrading Iran's military capabilities and holding the country accountable for recent attacks on commercial vessels. More than 50,000 U.S. military personnel are currently deployed across the Middle East region.
